I actually photographed this wedding 3 years ago… but it continues to linger in my heart as one of the most influential and memorable weddings of my career. Back when I still owned my studio in California, Studio Sequoia, and was working alongside my incredibly talented brother Brian; I had the opportunity to come to Mammoth Lakes and photograph this wedding and meet people that are still some of the most supportive in my career. These people I credit, to this day, with the rocket launch of my career as a photographer and I could never be thankful enough to them some 3 years later.
Just after this wedding went onto “The Instagrams,” clients from all over the country began contacting me daily to photograph their weddings, their proposals, their families… and a single photo taken at sunset (at the very end of this post) was shared and reposted thousands of times making me one of the busiest photographers in Southern California. So busy I never had the chance to actually blog this wedding!
Well… this morning, as I am clearing off old photos from my hard drives to make space for a wedding I’m photographing in India this weekend, I came across the half prepared blog post from 3 years ago and decided to finish it and post it today. I still am madly in love with this wedding and miss Jenna and Cameron as well as their amazingly kind and gracious families very much. I learned a lot during this wonderful weekend in the mountains… many things that I still carry very close to my heart still. I love these families and I love this wedding. So as we move into yet another new year, I want to share with you the wedding that launched a thousand ships for me.
Friends, this is Jenna and Cameron…
